Why Brand Consistency Matters in Hotel Marketing and Design
As part of my ongoing design work in hospitality, I recently created a retractable banner for Hilton Garden Inn Fremont Milpitas to spotlight their Food & Beverage initiatives in the Garden Bar & Grille.
When designing for hotels, I take pride in aligning closely with each brand’s identity standards — not only to ensure consistency but to capture the essence of what makes each brand recognizable. At this point, I’ve even earned the affectionate nickname “Brand Police” for my dedication to maintaining those standards.
The real reward came after our Assistant General Manager shared a photo that happened to include the banner. A General Manager from another Hilton Garden Inn commented saying he wanted the same banner for his property — asking where he could get one.
That kind of feedback reinforces why I love what I do. It’s a reminder that attention to detail and respect for brand storytelling don’t just make designs look good — they build trust, inspire others, and help carry the brand forward in a consistent, meaningful way.
